I have yet to the pleasure of meeting you but see you regularly at PHS ( I teach the strings there). I have always been a Bengals fan and a fan of Sam Wyche. Good luck on your campaign for council. Have you thought of running for President. We need an honest, common sense person. Anyway, looking forward to meeting you someday down the road. Best wishes to you and your family. Pickens is blessed to people like you working with their young people.

Sam, the good citizens of Pickens County would be fortunate to have you working on their behalf. Your life experiences, leadership, demonstrated concern for others, compassion and common sense makes you someone any level headed person would be proud to vote for. Good for you and your family!
If you need anybody in the hills of WNC to carry some water for you, let me know. Good luck and Godspeed!

Sam.. we love that you are running for public office .. how refreshing to hear some one with your passion and integrity .. Pickins County would be lucky to have you represent them. We wish you all the best and you are dearly missed by your good friends in Tampa.

Would you have any interest in the OC position in San Francisco? If so, I would love it you might have a way of getting your name in the heads of the 49ers thick headed management team.

Sam,

Glad to hear you on WFAN today with Boomer. As a lifelong Bengal fan, you certainly are the greatest coach in their history. Have a great Christmas!!!

Thanks for the comments without the political angle (spin) to it.....you always told it like it was and still do.......why did you ever leave us alone in the NFL?

Coaching is teaching. Coaching is observing.
Coaches learn to watch carefully and continuously, to pickup on the details of athletic skills. If you watch enough film, and observe many hours of on field workouts, a coach can not only spot a defect, but he is rewarded with a technique that might help the next guy he coaches.

Joe Montana, Boomer Esiason, Vinny Testaverde, Drew Bledsoe, Kelly Holcomb, J.P. Losman and Trent Dilfer taught me a lot more than I remember instructing them. I coached with a passion, but I know that much of what I explained to one quarterback, I learned from observing a previous QB.

As the Primary Election in Pickens County draws near, I can't help but suggest that those same principles apply with the voting public.

I am sure of one thing: each of our individual voting habits are being watched by our children and grandchildren. Our neighbors are making judgements about our civic diligence. We are being observed, and those findings will be shared down the road with newly qualified members of the American community.
Teach them well. Just as Joe Montana's footwork might help some young high school or college QB, our voting dedication might decide who our leaders will be when the next generation is in charge. Have a great life!
